Sometimes the only way to make an aircraft reliable again is to completely remove all of the old wiring, terminals and connectors and replace it all. This is especially true for hard working helicopters which have been operating in harsh environments. Rewiring is also the only way to get rid of problematic “Kapton” wire used by many aircraft manufacturers during the 1970s and early 1980s.
Maxcraft has many years of experience carrying out complete rewires of a variety of helicopter types including the Bell 206, Bell 212, Sikorsky S61, Sikorsky S76A, Eurocopter AS350 and AS355.
After a full rewire, an aircraft will typically provide the operator with many years of largely trouble free service. Maxcraft’s wiring installation standards will in most cases exceed those of the original aircraft manufacturer.
