Maxcraft began operations at Langley Airport in 1989 with a single contract to provide avionics support services for a commercial helicopter company operating Sikorsky S61 heavy lift helicopters.

1994
From that beginning the company gained a reputation for avionics competence thus enabling the customer base to grow to include a wide variety of commercial and private aircraft operators. By 1996 Maxcraft employed ten people and made a strategic decision to relocate to Vancouver International Airport (YVR). During the years from 1996 to 2009 the company continued to grow and to gain experience on a wide variety of aircraft types. Technicians were sent worldwide to provide avionics support services to commercial customers. In early 2008 management made the key decision to build the brand new specialized avionics maintenance facility which opened for business at Pitt Meadows Airport in May 2009. The efficient new facility enabled the company to continue to grow despite economic challenges. As of December 2011 Maxcraft employs about twenty eight talented and skilled people.
