STC for the Garmin G500H on Eurocopter AS355
Vancouver, BC, July 2012, Maxcraft Avionics Ltd., an established Avionics company located on PittMeadows Airport near Vancouver, B.C., has announced that they have received Transport Canada Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) SH12-43 for installation of the Garmin G500H Flight Display System in Eurocopter AS355 models E, F, F1, F2, N, and NP rotorcraft.

Approval for the G500H allows installation of interfaced systems including Garmin’s Digital AHRS and ADC, 400W/500W Series Navigator, GTS800 Traffic Alerting System, FreeFlight RA-4500 Radar Altimeter, GTX Transponder and an interface to on-board NTSC or PAL video systems. This installation of the popular G500H system replaces the traditional 6 pack of analog instruments with a single LRU PFD/MFD glass display.

Future developments for this STC include:
- Garmin GTN 6XX/7XX Touch Screen Navigator integration
- Additional airframes including AS350/EC130, EC120 series
- FAA and EASA familiarization
