Just last fall, Garmin Pilot introduced expanded coverage within Canada for iOS devices with a comprehensive suite of navigation and weather information. Garmin Pilot Canada Premium provides flight planning capabilities, feature-rich navigation and a number of weather products including NEXRAD, METARs, TAFs and more. We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve incorporated NAV CANADA aeronautical chart coverage throughout Canada, providing valuable information such as radio frequencies, airspace boundaries, landmark information and more.
The latest version of Garmin Pilot Canada Premium incorporates new aeronautical chart coverage within Canada, which may be conveniently downloaded by region. With version 7.3 on iOS, Garmin Pilot Canada Premium offers the following Canadian charts:
- VFR Navigation Charts (VNC)
- VFR Terminal Area Charts (VTA)
- Enroute High and Low Altitude Charts
- IFR Low Altitude Terminal Area Charts
Garmin Pilot Canada Premium is currently available in the iTunes store and offers a comprehensive suite of navigation and weather information for Canada including North American navigation data provided by Jeppesen, Rich, interactive maps within Garmin Pilot support north-up and track-up navigation, so maps, their labels and the information displayed on the map are upright and easy to read. Geo-referenced FliteCharts include approaches, departures and arrival procedures and SafeTaxi incorporates geo-referenced airport diagrams in Canada.
