Welcome to our first instalment of Avionics Upgrades – reviews of recently completed Maxcraft projects before and after they left the Maxcraft hanger.
Last week this beautiful brand new AS350B3 flew directly out of Eurocopter Canada to the Maxcraft hangar for a few avionics upgrades.
With our staff in awe of this gorgeous, new machine our first challenge was to get focused and go ahead and install the following upgrades:
- Music inputs
- 6 new Zulu 2 ANR headsets
- Panel power jacks
- Wiring provisions for a fuel filter kit.
The Result: After a few short days it lifted off with its rotor blades in full swing, heading onto Vancouver Island where it’s used by its lucky owner for both recreation and transport to and from the mainland.
We were happy to be able to take this aircraft to the next level with the upgrades our technicians made and even happier when the pilot, Sean Smyth had the following to say as he flew out of sight:
“We LOVE the new Zulu headsets…I was very happy with the attentive service we received and the workmanship of the job. I look forward to coming back for more work this winter.”
Thanks for the opportunity to work on such a beautiful aircraft Sean.
